What Kind of People use Hypnosis?
People just like you and me. Perhaps
you recognize that there is an area of your life that
isn't just right. You may have tried various methods
to resolve the situation with limited or no success.
The secret is to stop trying. Then allow the power of
hypnosis and your mind to make a permanent change.
It's about identifying your strengths
and utilizing your own life experiences to learn from,
to enhance your health, and promote real and meaningful
change in your everyday life, to bring out your best.

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural state of focused
concentration and is as natural as breathing. It happens
to everybody on a daily basis, just before we fall asleep
and just before we wake up in the morning. In hypnosis
we extend this time so that we can access the subconscious
mind directly.
Does Hypnosis Work?
Notice how you feel when you live
your life with your beliefs? Notice how you feel when
you do something against your beliefs?
Hypnosis is all about changing your
beliefs.
Will I Quack Like a Duck?
No, intention is everything and again
you have control. When people go up on stage they are
told by the Hypnotist the rating of the show (family
or X-rated). They want to be part of the entertainment
and they participate willingly.
What Does it Feel Like?
The conscious mind is in a heightened
state of awareness and the body usually feels very relaxed.
Relaxation is optional, however even someone who doesn't
like to relax or close their eyes will usually do just
that after a while.
Can I be Hypnotized?
There is no reason why you can't
be hypnotized. Anyone with average intelligence can be
hypnotized, providing they are willing and do not resist.
What if I Don't Wake up?
You can only wake up if you are sleeping.
Hypnosis is not sleep. It is literally impossible to
be stuck in hypnosis.
How Can Hypnosis Help Me?
You are able to see things as they
are as opposed to how you perceive them. For example,
some of the programming we received as a child, like "don't
talk to strangers", served us very well as children,
however it may hold us back in our work or personal relationships.
This is especially true for salespeople. After all, most
people are strangers or friends we haven't met yet.
Who Has Control?
Fortunately you do. If a hypnotist
could control you then we would guarantee your success.
Your success or failure is up to you, based on your attitude
and desire. You remain in control at all times and freely
select the suggestion that you will accept. With the
slightest thought you can reject a suggestion that doesn't
agree with your morals, ethics or religious beliefs,
and emerge back to normal awareness.
Do I Need Hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy? If you are experiencing
stress, fears, anxiety, sleep disorders, or some physical
symptoms that your doctor finds no physical basis for;
or you have difficulties in relationships at home, work,
or school, perhaps marital or sexual problems among other
situations then yes, hypnosis can help you.
Who Can do Hypnosis?
Anyone can do it; parents, students,
professionals of all types, sales people, men, women,
young and old.
To resolve habits or emotional situations you should seek out a qualified
practitioner whose training is recognized by an association such as the
Professional Board of Hypnotherapy.
Does Hypnosis Occur in My Everyday Life?
You bet it does: athletes in the zone,
kids mesmerized by TV, students focused on their studies,
daydreaming, reading a good book and road trance are
all forms of the alpha state, ie. hypnosis. Road trance
is when you space out while driving, arriving at your
destination while not being consciously aware of parts
of the trip. And yes, you are safe when this happens
because your subconscious mind is protecting you, although
you are encouraged to remain in the here and now when
you are operating a motorized vehicle.
Isn't Hypnosis Just Meditation?
Although meditation and hypnosis utilize
the same alpha brainwave there are some distinctive differences
between them:
- With meditation you focus on yourself, or internally. In hypnosis you
focus externally or on something outside of yourself.
- Meditation has no objective while hypnosis is used as a tool or technique
to change a behavior or resolve an issue.
- If you are doing anything other than focusing on yourself during your
meditation session then you are practicing self-hypnosis. Congratulations!
How is a Suggestion Received by the
Subconscious Mind?
The suggestion by-passes the critical
factor of your conscious mind. In hypnosis your conscious
mind then takes on a different role, one of a gatekeeper.
If the suggestion is within your belief system then the
gatekeeper allows the suggestion to go into the highly
intelligent but unreasoning subconscious mind. When a
thought, idea or concept is introduced into the subconscious
mind, change begins.
